COVID-19 Fundraiser for International and temporary visa holders

At the difficult time of COVID-19, AECA supported the needy international students who have lost their jobs and are in immense financial & mental stress through fundraising. AECA liaised closely with the Nepal Embassy at Canberra & the Fund Management Committee at AECA and are prioritising the students for relief based on the list of students who have been in contact with the Embassy for help. We have been fortunate enough to be able to raise funds for this noble cause with the help of AECA members, non-members, providers, institution and individuals. We were able to distribute $41,250 to the needy international students and temporary visa holders who had been affected by COVID-19 crisis.
